Gionee S6 is a dual-sim phone that features an AMOLED 5.5-in HD (1280x720p) display and comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop along with Amigo OS 3.1. Powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek octa-core processor and 3GB RAM, it gives 32GB internal storage and it supports microSD cards of up to 128GB. With 4G LTE + VoLTE connectivity, Gionee S6 claims to offer 40% better speech and an efficient experience of the speech quality.
Gionee S6 smartphone sports a sleek and eye-catching design and its measurements are: at the thinnest point, it’s 4mm and at the thickest point, it’s 6.9mm. This makes it one of the thinnest smartphones globally, keeping a thin edge on Oppo R5 (4.85mm) and Vivo X5 Max (4.75mm). But, the Vivo models have the same measurements throughout, whereas the thickness of Gionee handsets varies.
Gionee S6 is available in platinum and Gold colours and uniquely designed with sports centric metal body. The new Gionee S6 comes with a price tag 19,999 rupees; this makes it quite sure of not falling under the budget-class smart phones. Though, this price can be reduced by a considerable extent if you are using Amazon coupons. Gionee S6 is officially available in the Indian market from November 2015.
Gionee S6 has a pack of a 3,150mAh battery, 13MP primary camera that comes with LED flash, and a 5MP secondary camera; somehow MI4I has perfectly gripped the market with almost similar features and a better price offering. The options for connectivity in the device include 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type C 2.0 connector, Bluetooth 4.0, and A-GPS.
Gionee S6, for the amount it is priced at, is also powered by a decent UI, which makes the user experience much simpler than the other Gionnes in the portfolio. Its Intel Atom CPU is by far the fastest you’ll find in a budget smartphone, and the $300 version of the Gionee S6 has a whopping 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and an expandable capacity of 128GB. It is comparatively a bit on the heavy side, and its button placement is a little strange; adding on to this is also the heating problem, which quite a lot of S6 handsets have been facing.
Utility smartphones have always been on the costlier end. In India, for a price of anything less than 10,000 are those phones you can buy with not many changes of their previous versions, may be a few changes like added memory storage or a changed body, a better camera or an inclusion of flash. A phone like Gionee S6 can make more sense than a flagship phone for a lot of people, as the things that make such handsets less fancy than flagship phones can actually be a decent assets.
We partly recommend Gionee S6 within the price range of 15,000 INR to 20,000 INR. However, you can search for discount codes on coupon sites such as Couponhaat to avail decent price cut-down.
