Pullikkaran Stara – A Feel Good Movie – Review| Box Office Collection Details

Mollywood has flooded again with movies of big names after a while. This Onam is witnessing a stiff competition between the veterans and youth icons. Mammootty with Pulikaran Stara, Mohanlal with his role as Prof Idicula in a Lal Jose movie will be fighting against Nivin and Prithviraj in theatres. Megastar Mammootty is back in the business after a while. Mammootty has proved his box office power with the movie The Greatfather. Megastar who was nowhere in the top 5 all time grosser has stormed into the list with a whopping 65 cr collection from his Ramzan release movie The Greatfather. His recent onam release Pullikaran Stara is also getting positive reviews from all over Kerala. The movie hit the theatres on September 1, 2017, without much hype but turns out to be a cracker for fans and families.  Before getting the complete review of Pullikaran Stara let me give you a brief intro for the movies. Pullikaran Stara movie was directed by Shyam Sundar ( 7th-day fame ). It is going to be the second movie of Shyam Sundar, in the movie Mammootty plays the role of a witty teachers training instructor named Rajakumaran who is the native of Idukki. Deepti Sati will be playing the lead actress role in the movie, and Deepti is going to share the screen with Mammootty for the first time. Asha Sarath will also be playing one of the lead characters in the onam release movie. Asha Sarath will be joining Mammootty in any movie for the second time, last time when this combo shared silver screen was for Varsham movie ( which turned out to be blockbuster ). 3

Reports from all over Kerala for Pullikaran Stara is quite promising ( for a movie which hit the theatres without much hype). First responses from fans and families are mixed, but still, as a Malayalam movie lover, I would rate it as a one time watch.  The movie was released on September 1 along with Nivin Pauly’s much-hyped movie Njandukal.
